Do you wash your tennis shoes?

I do from time to time wash mine. As they do get dingy and in the summer I tend to omit the socks from my feet and one doesn't need them to get stinky or grow too much bacteria in there from going barefooted in them. I'm thinking I'm going to have to snag all the kids shoes pretty soon and do a load of them & take a scrub brush to a couple of them. And especially the Hello Kitty shoes my middle wears those will look pretty much new again.

I wash mine, you bet! For the same reasons that you do: bacteria from bare feet, dirt and odor. In the summer I pretty much live in my tennis shoes, or my flip-flops when I'm home, so they probably get more dirty than most peoples. I like to spray some cleaner on the canvas parts and then let them sit a while before washing. Then I'll put them in on the gentle cycle with a bunch of old towels and they come out great looking again.

I never thought about using something like spray-n-wash on the canvas portion. Good suggestion.

When I wore tennis shoes, I washed them. But they are few and far between now, the "tennis shoes" are hard to find in cotton canvas like they used to be.

I've seen some @ k-mart a few yrs back a lil updated looking though. Otherwise Keds still makes them but you pay a good deal of money for keds or shall I say a lil blue tab on the heels that says Keds.

It's not something I do frequently, but every now and then. I don't usually bother with the kids shoes. They wear their shoes out so quick, washing them will only shorten the life span of the shoes! My own shoes I'll wash when needed, or if the mood strikes me, but that's not too often either.

yes, I wash my tennis shoes or rubber shoes as we call it here. But not very often. I wash it if it really is very dirty or muddy. My shoes is white but I only use it once in a while if I do walk far. I remembered I washed it twice only after one year of use LOL
