Body Language

We all know about body language, we know that gestures mean different things: like waving and smiling can just mean a friendly hello, or if you like raise your eyebrows suggestively that means you're trying to flirt or get "that guy over there" to nottice you. What got me thinking abou this was that I was sitting in my church lobby taking down notes on my laptop (which is why I haven't been going into the auditorium, I don't wanna distract anyone). My back was against the wall and my laptop is inclined a little, making it easy for me to look over it and see people walking across the lobby. As if it were instinct, I looked up and saw this good-looking guy walk by. I flipped my ponytail back behind me which seemed to get his attention. He looked at me and smiled and continued to walk. Kinda funny how that whole thing played out because its not like I was dying to get his attention. So, armed with this information (and information you've collected from your own experiences) what is your take on body language and the likes? Do you think its just instinct for a girl to try and get a guy's attention?

I believe that body language is an big part of people communicating with each other. Body language also tells others how we are feeling and everything along them lines. And with the question about women or girls trying to get attention through body language I believe both males and females do this. A woman may get the attention of someone just by being themselves, or they may want attention just to see if they can still do it. You know, still got it to make heads turn. I do believe that if a woman is looking for companionship, looking for that right somebody, that they will make an gesture to let you know what's up. For guys, this is a diffinent yes. Guys do use body language. One is licking of the lips, not always true, cause sometimes the guys' lips maybe dry, and the other one is the stance of the dude. In slang terms it's called 'Posting-Up.' Atleast that's what it was called back when I was in the mix of things. I'm more out of the loop now, so it might not be called that any more.

Well I appreciateand the response but what I mean do you think it s like natural instinct? Flipping the hair usually means (or can mean) "hello" I was thinking it could be just as instinctive as waving or something like that. I am very happy with my boyfriend so I am not looking for that kind of companionship, it s just something of curiosity. :-)
