Well, I have been a member here for a year now and for the life of me I could not get a single referral. Since I have gotten my blog up and running, I have had many veiws on it and when I came here to check on my discussions and such I noticed that I had a friends request and the person had no posts yet. So I decided to go to my earnings and decided to check my referrals and WOOT WOOT I got a referral. I am 100% sure that the referral came from looking at my blog. I am so thrilled about it. In fact when I saw that I hit the desk and said hell yeah. My hubby looked at me and said OK, I told him that I have been wanting a referral and now that I know the blog and my clicking thing for getting referrals/vistors on my sites are really working. I am going to continue busting my butt even harder on it. So how did you feel when you got your first referral?

Congratulations! I haven't gotten a referral yet.. I haven't been trying too hard though, just been posting away and not really worrying about earning money yet haha. I know that you need to get referrals if you want to start earning money on this site.. but I haven't been bothered yet.
Congrats again though and good luck getting more!

I really only get excited when I pass the triple digit referral mark for a site now to be honest.
But I do remember back in the day when I used to get excited about each and every one.
Once you pass 500 total referrals on all your sites, the new one's just blend in really.
But I'm still happy to have them and help them, just not excited like I used to be about it.

That makes really good sense. I know the only reason I got excited about is because it is hard to get a referral for mylot. I know that on NeoBux I have 28 active referrals. Only 2 of them are direct referrals. I know that after I made it to the double digit that I was thrilled but not excited because I am getting use to getting referrals for that site. But I hope sometime soon I can get to where you are with the 500 referrals.

Yeah I hear ya there, Neo and MyLot are two of the harder to get referrals for sites out there cause they are so large and well known in the GPT world.
So getting referrals for them does bring a bit more of a smile to my face as well.
500+ referrals takes a while, but a solid blog and some consistency in your quest to find them will get you there before to long.
Last time I did a rough count I was actually around 750ish, was just saying after the 500 mark, the counting of referrals get's kinda old. Don't think I will get excited again about a number until I hit 5,000 total or 500 in one site.

Wow, that is a lot of referrals. I know that I gave up counting anymore. I figure that I will be fine just as long as I make a profit and not lose money. But 5000 referrals would be awesome. I know that mylot and neobux seems to be the most popular site out there. I knew they were popular but did not know that they were the most popular ones. But it is nice to be on these 2 sites though because they are fun to do.

Congratulations! I have never had any referrals from mylot, but you know, I have been doing alright for myself. There is no guarantee, that referrals are going to work for you and anyway. I have tried to get referrals here in mylot but to no avial. I just haven't worried about it, since I have been doing it by myself. I do have referrals in some of my other sites, and I am very happy with all of the. For every referral, I get that much more than if I didn't hav referrals. Most people just don't want to bother with auch little pay, as they feel it is a waste of time. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I know there is a chance that they won't do much or that it work, but that is no big deal. I think for me it is the knowing that I got a person to join mylot itself. I love this site and I think it would be great to get people to join us in the fun. I know what you are saying there about the pay but to me it should not matter what you get paid just as long as they stay legit and pay. I know for me I am a member of a site where I get paid about 15 cents every 3 weeks but I don't care because the site is where you answer questions so there for there will always be something new that you are learning. But then again you can get paid more through that site if you correctly answer the questions. Either way the site is fun. thanks for the congrats and good luck to you too.
