i have heard only from one person who has seen it that it was a waste of 3 hours of her life and she was so dissapointed with it. i love the first four that i have seen and i wouldnt think that it would be so horrible after the first ones were so good but then again i have never read the books so i dont compare them to how the books were to judge rather or not it is good. what are yalls opinions and do you think it is worth taking time out of my day to see or wait for it on dvd and if theres nothin else just watch that????

I'm actually going to see it tomorrow. I'll post back then and let you know. But, having read all the books and disliked 3/5ths of the movies, I don't have high expectations.

First, watch the fifth before you see the sixth. Second, see the sixth and judge for yourself. If you are worried about it, wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it. There aren't really that many scenes that are going to suffer by not seeing them in the theater, on the big screen with the surround sound. And having not read the books, you are at an advantage. It skates over a lot of stuff that was very important to the book but it all still makes sense so you won't be missing anything. But I've tried to enjoy the movies for what they are and the books for what they are and not compare the two and I think the movie was pretty great. Personally, I think it was all worth the ending, even though it was a horrible ending.

Had another thought..... The thing that I think people are either forgetting or not realizing is that the sixth book is vastly informational. All of the real high-flying action scenes are in the last three or four chapters, the majority of the rest is Dumbledore and Harry learning about Voldemort through the pensieve, which makes them passive participants in most of the story. I was actually very pleased with the way they handled that because it had the potential to be incredibly slow and I may even dare say boring.

- if u hv read the books then u'll be definitely disappointed. - if u like hermoine granger n ginny weasley , go for the movie. - if u have liked all the movies and have not read all the books then ull enjoi the movie. though they hav deviated from the original story, but her effects are good. worth a watch if you have not read the book, utter disappointment if you have read the books.

I really enjoyed the first five with the fifth being the best. I made sure I read the book only after I had seen the movie with those. I read the book before the sixth one and I was disappointed when we saw it in the theatre. I think if I had not read the book I wouldn't have been disappointed. It is still a good movie just not as fantastic as the fifth movie.

Hehm, thanks for the information. seems the movies is not as good as the others five movies. i admitted that the books is the greatest book i ever read, but the movies is only in standard quality (for the story, the effects was good)
