Friends, Best Friends, etc.

I remember back in the day, the school days, friends for me were all over and I had many friends and I thought I could trust many people. Well, of course, now that I am not in school and I am married and have kids, my friend level has dropped considerably. I have only like one or two people I can even sometimes confide in, because since I became married, I talk to my husband, but I like to talk to other people as well. Do you have many friends that you can confide in? What do you confide in them about?

Hello friend. Sad to say i dont have great amount of friends either and most of them i can not trust. I had so many experience with friends and most of them let me down so badly...so i dont confide anyone with my problems. I'd prefer friends online. No restrictions..doesnt hurt much also if they let u down. I have a childhood bestfriend but i cant confide in her anymore since she hasnt grow up yet...her life is still about youth...she is still single and she cant understand my way of life now. We are still friends but she is not the one that can understand me anymore...i like older friends that knows more about life. I need to feed my brain with good things in life...with people that has lifes experience. Peopl like u that understand what is married life. I like my friends here on mylot...very interesting people. And knows what life is all about.

I totally understand where you are coming from! Most of my friends that I thought were my so called best friends from my past, either betrayed me, lied to me, or back stabbed me in some way, and none of them have children and only one of them is married and she moved away so I cant even compare my life to theirs to get advice or anything, plus I don't trust them anymore. So yes I know what you mean! Since I got married, we have a few couples that we are friends with that are either married or have children, so it's nice to be able to talk with them and hang out, because they understand our lifestyle.

Yes sad to say but most friends are like that. Hard to trust anyone. Here on mylot we are able to relate our life in form of discussions and we able to get good information from real people.
