i think it is force of habit that i out my tags from say one when i joined mylot. so if i skip that means i press a wrong button or my child is taking over my page . i started a discussion about putting tags for: Misuse of tags is grounds for account termination and will not be tolerated i dont want to be terminated so i am cautious on putting tags before and more cautious now. heres the link of the discussion in case you want to read others people say to this. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2104929.aspx

This is why it is of importance that members take time to read the discussion they are about to respond to. That way, you can also check the existing tags posted by the discussion starter. I often skip the option to submit tags too since I think after the admin has posted the alert on abusive use of tags, then members are more aware of the need to place appropriate tags. If all the relevant tags are already supplied, then there is no need to submit more. Only when it is necessary.

well, tags are an important aspect of your posts, whther a discussion or a response. i always make it a point to tag my post but at time i skip a tags too. i do this only when a discussion has got many responses and it has all the relevent tags too. it takes a few seconds to tag so why be a miser while tagging...?

I do put tags in my responses because I have browsed in the mylot FAQs that it helps you earn more. I am not sure if it is true though but I don't think you will lose anything if you put in a word or two. I also put tags in my discussions just in case someone uses the search button and the topic they are looking for is related to the discussions I have started.

I am terrible at putting tags on discussions. I don't do it for the ones that I have started or ones that I have replied to. I know I probably should so that they are easy to be searched for and found. I just hate coming up with tags and just end up skipping that step every time.

I have the bad habit of not putting tags on my responses. I put tags when I'm starting new discussions so that people can see my discussions and that are related to other topics as well.
