For the love of bees...

In case you haven't heard the buzz, honeybees are dying at an alarming rate. The fuzzy little guys are crucial to the ecosystem, and also to our diet- about 30 percent of everything we eat and drink is a product of pollination. Scientists still haven't figured out exactly what's killing them? Here are a couple things we can do to help save them. Only use pesticides that are marked "bee-safe". Also, spray in the evening time when bees are less likely to come into contact with the chemicals. Plant native wildflowers that attract pollinators and give the insects a home and food. You can search different websites to find the best native flowers to your area. Also Haagen-Dazs flavored ice cream has teamed up and is donating proceeds from their ice cream to bee research. So what other things do you think we can do to help out these little bees?

They have done alot of research already I am shocked that you have not heard already that they have found that bee's can not process the pollen from GM crop's. Instead it causes a cancer inside of them. This is one reason why many countries will not plant GM crop's. Sort of makes me wonder what it will do to us after eating the crop's?

I remember seeing lots of bees on the neutral ground and in fields as a child but now hardly ever.
