Do You Still Wear a Wrist Watch?

I stopped wearing my watch, once I realized that my cell phone keeps better time anyway. I don't wear much jewelry so thats one less accessory item to put on. Watches are still popular, but I wonder if sales are down. I also notice that people on the street don't ask me "what is it" anymore. Just another sign of the "times". LOL How about you, are you still wear your watch?

I don't wear a wrist watch because I couldn't fathom spending close to 100 bucks for simply telling time. Especially when I have my DS lite, cell phone, and IPOD that can tell time and still do other things. It's far more convenient for me. Then there's the fact that a lot of the cheaper watches break too easily and even one that I got to wear as a fashion item caused me to break out horribly. I'm allergic to nickel apparently..

I always wear a wrist watch, the mechanical style. I feel that make a man looks more tasteful. And also it is a good ornament.

I used to wear a watch all the time until the strap broke from over use and I couldn't get it fixed. I then carried it around in my pocket until the battery went the same way as the strap and I had to stop using it all together. I went without a watch for a while after that rely on bus station clocks to tell the time, or my iPod since I don't use a mobile phone much so never carry one around. I have though now bought a new watch which I use whenever I leave the house, but leave turned off when I am at home and so not using it. I think it makes me look smarter than I used to, especially when I go to work, and my brother even commented on it, so I think I will stick with that for now because it has done wonders for my self esteem :) Dranz

I still wear my wrist watch. It`s my fav color too. Purple hehehhe. I get tired of pulling out my cell phone to see the time. Besides that it`s so small I can hardly read it on my cell.

I haven't worn a wrist watch in a really long time. I haven't worn one, since high school, come to think of it. I think I just got tired of putting my watch on after every shower and such. Cellphones seem to make wrist watches not as necessary as they used to be.

hi yparson, I always wear my watch and am totally lost without it. I'm not into jewelry at all but have to have my watch on as can't bear to be anything but punctual even though the concept is not that well known over here. I do use the mobile as an alarm clock but not as a general time keeping piece. Everyone I see wears a watch too, we may not always know the day over here but we do know the time

I love watches, even though I don't have one right now. My watch broke recently so I need to save up for a new one...but I want a really nice watch, preferably Movado or something like that lol. But I am huge on wearing jewelry, I always have been. It took me a while to get use to not wearing a watch, but since my watch broke, I find that I am wearing more bracelets on my left wrist to make up for that fact...plus I still look at my wrist as if I'm about to look at my watch lol.

I do. And I can't live without it. Its the only gadget i have where I can look at the time. I don't usually bring my cellphone with me coz I don't want to be disturbed by others, who keeps on sending text messages, and calling. I don't like that really. I only have one watch, and I bought it very cheap, not a type of jewelry, I don't like jewels.

I still wear my watch and feel naked without it. I don't always pull out my cell phone to just look at the time. I'm always running late everywhere, so I'm always glancing at my wristwatch. I didn't realize watches were out! LOL!

I still wear my wrist watch because I feel more at ease looking at my watch than the cellphone. Cellphone is good, fashionable and all that but the watch is what i look at for the time. I am not into jewelry as well but looking at the wrist watch for the time is more comfortable that getting the cellphone out of your pocket. I can't actually imagine going out with friends without it.

I do wear a watch, although only since last Christmas, before that I hadn't worn one for years. I got used to using my mobile to tell the time. My boyfriend bought me a lovely watch for Christmas but it took me a while to get into the habit of wearing it. Now I feel odd without it! I like to use the watch mark to guage whether or not I have a tan lol

you ' watch' what you are saying... maybe its not yoyr good 'time'...chronologically lot of things have changed... and climate chnages have brought about 'alarm' in people.... most people are 'strap'ped to their seats thinking about what may happen next ... the 'countdown ' for doom ha begun... so many things are going on around us but all you worry about is whether i wear my wrist watch? well yes actually.. i do wear it.. i like to be fashionably late....my watch helps me do that

As I don't have a cell phone, I really should wear a watch. I had one for a long time (since I was 14) but it broke and I never found the right watch people who were "certified" for that brand of watch. (I think that's all a load of crap.) SO I have a broken watch and no time.

Cell phones have reduced the importance of wrist watch.

I used to wear a wrist watch, but they always seem to break... maybe that is because I always buy the cheap ones... My cell keeps time so I still know what time it is... and everyone asks me. :)

I used to until I worked in both the fast food and manufacturing industries for a few years.. Wearing them was forbidden and now I simply don't wear them, despite owning two rather special ones.

I still wear my wrist watch. I feel weird if I don't. The thing with my cell phone time is that I often do not remember to charge my phone so it always turns off and then I am left timeless.

I still wear my wrist watch cause I'm not 'in' with the times LOL i don't own a cell phone, nor an Ipod 0.0 too expensive for me, would much rather get a watch. I feel naked when walking around with out one. Plus without a wrist watch I'm paranoid I'll be late getting where i am going and I'm always checking the time. I find myself checking my watch every 1-15 minutes lol
