Do you have any craft projects going on these days?

I think a lot of us like craft stuff. I recently went to a beads jewellery class, I made a bracelet and a pair of earings, it made me so interested and almost bought all the tools and beads to start a new project right after the class! But it is not cheap because first the tools, second, you don't wnat only one color or one kind of beads to make your own jewellery. I might do this later in the future when I have free money :-) Other than that, I don't have any craft projects going on - I will learn how to knit when I have kids in the future hehe ^_^ So what about you? Any craft projects going on these days?

Hello Mermaid ivy, That was really nice that you made a bracelet, I know it's pretty and you must feel very proud of yourself.Because you were able to make something nice. I a few several years ago and gave them away to family members as gifts. If you don't want to invest the money in them at the class, you could always go to some store like walmart or kmart or an craft supply store and find all the materials you need. I really enjoyed beading and making jewelry but I figured it would be more fun to take a class rather than just learning about it on my own. Maybe one day I will go for it. I have all kinds of crafts that I start working on but for some reason I don't seem to finish very many of them. I guess it's the demands of mothering that must take priority. Oh I did make my new baby niece a beautiful crochet pink baby blanket. Just so that there wasn't the feel of all yarn against the baby's skin, rubbing and scratching. I decided to sew on some nice cotton material. It had pretty baby toys on the design. I hope her mother will keep the blanket as a keepsake. I really put a lot of hard work into it. I think it might have taken at least a month to complete. The next thing I want to try my hand out is in making candles. I love all kinds of crafts. take care and happy crafting.

I have a nearly finished knitting a sweater for my youngest grandchild. I´m doing it slowly because I´m training Lola, my dog, and going to different doctor checkups which take up a lot of my time. I used to do a lot of things with my hands but joints hurt a bit so I get lazy Happy posting

not at the moment. but next week is the start of the "ber" months. for the family, it's the start of the preparations for christmas. so i'll be starting to make christmas decors, centerpieces, christmas candles and wreaths so it can be put up as early as november, after all souls' day. i'll be buying raw materials and combine them with the old trinkets to make a new decor. it's fun to be creative during the festive season of chistmas. i believe that a little touch of creativity can do wonders to old trinkets and scraps and make them something to be admired at once again. since i never sell those because i make them for my huge family... i'm planning (time permitting) to pursue making one christmas decor to be sold in december. some of my siblings and friends are already asking me to make something that they can buy and give as gifts. so i might give it a try.

I am currently making my Halloween costume. I am making a dark yet sparkling cloak. It is a fabric I found it is black, and dark blue with gold sparkles. I love it. I am going to make a cloak out of it, and probably one for my son as well. Then I am going to get some bamboo sticks. But I haven't figured out what to wear underneath yet. Should I be a hobo, or a powerful wizard? An Anime hero, or a member of royalty? So many possibilities when you make it yourself.

That sounds like fun, I don't think I would make my own costume, I might dress up something else for it though.

It isn't for everyone that is for sure. Growing up we would just buy what ever came on sale after halloween and mix match it up for the next halloween. This is better I think, I suppose I could go check things out, maybe they will have something neat to put under my costume. I found that a lot of the costumes they make don't feel nice, gotta wear long sleeved tight fitting clothes underneath. Cheers.

I don't do that much jewelery making but the craft project I have at this moment is Matchitecture. I'm basically building a model plan from matches. It is soo much fun but at the same time it is really challenging.

Not right now - I am trying to cut back on my craft supplies because they take up so much space. I am still knitting, though, and I have a pair of socks that I am knitting right now.

Right now I'm working on a few different cross-stitch pieces, and fixing to start another soon as I can get to the store to purchase some of the supplies needed that I don't yet have. As for being a very crafy person...I am very crafty and usually have a load of crafty-time projects going on. Not only am I working o nthe cross-stitch but I'm attempting to complete a portfolio for fashion school.

How I wish to have one. . . I am still busy with my work, that's why I don't have any craft project right now. . I'm sure to have one this October when I will have a semestral break from my work and I will definitely use my time to do some crafts. I love doing it.

When my Grandmothe passed away, I inherited her dollhouse. This doll house was her hobby and she said it would never be done. The base is about 4 feet nd the height is about 2-3 feet at the highest peak. It looks lie an old victorian style house. Most of it came with a kit. She made and bought the rest of the items herself. I have very little creativity. Afew years ago I got as far as dusting everything n it as well as painting the exterior. It then sat for a few years. Since we moved it has been coevered with a sheet to prevent it from getting too dusty. I cleaned it out a few months ago. It had some cat hair and dust, so felt it was time to clean it. I have all of the craft supplies that she had. I just can't seem to come up with anything. The only other thing I can count as a craft is, I made a rubber stamp so I could start letterboxing. I know hot to do latch hook, but have not done that in a long time.

I have many craft projects to do but I can't make time for them always.I am into making pop-up greeting cards.I just love making them becoz of the joy I get by seeing the smile and happiness on the person's face to whom I gift it. My favourite is the pop up butterfly and pop up teddy bear :)

I tend to get interested in a lot of craft stuff, but I end up getting lazy about it. I wanted to do cross-stitching (I think that's what it was called), and even bought a few templates, but it's just sitting in my closet now. I repeatedly borrowed the same book on making these friendship bracelets from the library, but never got around to it. Right now, I'm into boondoggle. I'm halfway through one now, but I don't know if or when I'll finish it.

No, I do not have any craft projects going. I'm not a very crafty girl by nature so that's not surprising. I had fun playing with paint last Spring. I even created a poetry book about it. But that's about as far as my crafting instincts go.

I do a lot of knitting these days. I also do a lot of paper crafts. This is, of course, when I can find the time. My almost 3-yr-old pretty much makes it certain that I don't, lol.

Hi mermaid...My sister and my sister-in-law are both pregnant so I'm desperately trying to knit baby blankets for them before their due dates. I certainly hope I can complete them in time!

Oh, I am always doing a craft of some sort! My top two are scrapbooking and cross stitching. I am pretty much up to date on my scrapbook...I have two concerts to scrapbook... As for my cross stitch, its been awhile but I just ordered this gorgeous new pattern that is a giant room full of pictures and each picture is of a famous ancient building or fountain in Rome (I love Rome and have studied Latin for 5 years, so this is huge for me!). I can't wait to get the pattern so I can start working on it. I am a big Harry Potter fan and finished one of Harry and Sirius Black...most people think its a poster at first, lol. Once they realize that I stitched it, their faces are priceless. Makes the hard work completely worth it.

I am about start soap making by the end of the month. I have also seen a project where you take small flower pots and paint them erither red or green and make either elves or santa. I am looking for other cheap things to make that I can sell online and at craft fairs.

I have some marquetry that is sitting in a cupboard at home. My partner cross stitches. When the nights draw in and I reach the stage where I am likely to place a fork through my feet in the garden, I pick up model aircraft from where I last left off.
