How many of you have a neighbor or neighbors that the only time they seem to really know you is when they want or need something? I have a neighbor who is this way. The only time she seems to realize that you even exist is when she needs an item of food, help with her car, a babysitter, and so on. I have a very hard time telling people "NO" and even more so when it involves the children. How about you, do you know people like this?

I have some friends like this, not necessarily neighbors. But it seems so strange to me. I try to tell myself, well they are busy and they have kids. It's ok. But it can be very hurtful. Especially, if it is someone that you think highly of and you want to spend some time with them. That can be very disappointing. Good luck to you, and have a great day!

Yes I completely agree with you on that one as well. It is a lot more disearning when it is coming from someone that is important to you. We get upset when it is people outside of our existing home but even more hurt is endured when it is from someone within our home or our lives. It is a learning curve which I have been learning a great deal from these days. Have a great day.

Nope, but I used to be one of those people. No longer though, I have learned that you can get more out of life by giving away, then by asking.

Thank you for your response. I too am going through this learning experience, unfortunately I am learning the hard way. Have a great day.

i know what you mean, i don't mind helping out others. but get a bit annoyed when you end up feeling like they only used you cause of your genoursity. then if one thing goes wrong it's always your fault and never theirs. we've got a friend whose like that with their neighbor, our friend makes out he's a can do most things but when it comes down to it he can't and their neighbor does the work instead.

Isn't it a shame that there are so many people like that out there. It just makes you ask yourself "Why Bother?" It is very annoying to be the one to always go out of your way to help people just to find out that you were used in order for them to reap the benefits of your generosity. Have a great day.
