Hi, This is my first discussion in myLot. Hope you enjoy and cheer me, Yes, it is true that i was in the early period of 19th century yesterday. Not only yesterday, but also i going there daily. Also, i stay at the 19th century for nearly a week at there at last november. Do you want me to show my Time machine?? Sorry to disappoint you. You know something? In early 19th century there is no electric current. Yes, i was now telling about the electric power failures. Every day, there is atleast 3 hours of power cuts and every month there will be 8 hours of continuous power cuts in the second or third saturday. Last november when it was heavily raining, we experienced the power cuts for nearly a week continuously. Imagine that, no TV,computer, mobile, etc., Can you imagine it, if it happens to you what will be your reaction? What will you do? Do you experienced any power failures in your locality? Share yours please..

You are so right that life back then was so different, we have a place here where you can go and spend the day back in a time when the area was first settled. and it was very interesting, not only no electricity, but seeing how they cooked on the big wood stoves, how they had to carry water in from streams, or wells no running water either. Life today has so many convinces, that it is hard to imagine life with out electricity, not only for light, or all the different gadgets, we use it also for cooking, and heating,or cooling our homes. Having hot water to wash dishes, or to bath in. We have had a few storms that have knocked our power off for a few hours at a time. and i think that if it would be out for longer periods people would not know how to handle it. We do a lot of camping so we could survive with out it for a period of time if we had to. but having electricity would be missed

Hi dlr, I like your response very much. So, you go to that place where there is no electricity. That's good. Yes, we can manage ourselves with out electricity if we don't have it right from the beginning. But, if we lost it after some enjoyment with it, it is too bad to live without it. Nice to see you that you are preparing yourselves to live without electricity from those lots of camping. I never had any camping. Have a great day.
