Even if my brothers tell me that it is a waste of time, i watch a lot of pinoy mushy movies.. i laugh and cry with the actors. Even if all of the endings of the movies are all the same i still watch them. Because i know someone somewhere experienced it.

I only watch mushy movies when my wife is watching them. My wife is a fan of pinoy mushy movies and she also likes teleseryes. I don't have any choice but to watch with my wife as well.

I'm only watch Pinoy movies on TV and dvd because like you said some are predictable but there movies that have a good stories. The last Pinoy movies that I watched is the movie of John Lloyd and Sarah Geronimo. I admit some are Pinoy movies are all the same but it makes me laugh and cry sometimes.

Haha. I share your brother's opinion. I really don't like to watch these films from pinoy filmmakers because it's just the same generic plot, with only slight differences in the characters and their struggles. none are insightful enough to make the audience think. it is all about the love team and the "kilig" factor. i really wish pinoys could make a more intellectual film that would enable us, viewers, to take something away with us when we leave the theater. just my opinion though

I watch pinoy mushy movies on TV, cable and sometimes on VCD. I seldom watch on big screen only if I get to watch free. It's because the movies are yes predictable and almost always have the same plot and storyline and honestly I don't like to waste my money. But there are good ones really that I watch on the big screen with me paying, mushy or not.

Sad to say all Pinoy movies are predictable that's why I always think it is a waste of money and time watching their escapades on screen. But there's one exemption, sounds In My Life is a wonderful movie to watch. I saw the thriller and it's no mushy film, sounds funny and serious and with a good twist. In My Life starred Vilma Santos, John Lloyd Cruz and Ate Vi's son Luis Manzano. I think this is a different Vilma Santos film because she seemed funny at first but gradually turn dramatic as she watched the major turns of event from her son's life.

There are quite a good Filipino movies now. Star Cinema is one film company that is to be praised because they are conscious as to what the viewing public really wants. I must say that the last movie that I got to watch was really worth it. It was And I love You So. I liked the pacing of the movie and the way that the characters were portrayed. It was somehow like PS I Love You of Hilary Swank with a twist. I find it good and I enjoyed the movie.

Pinoy mushy movies like feel good movies I think will help in the short term to wipe your blues away. I like love teams in the movie and doing silly stuff to portray how much they are in love with each other and other outrageous things that are really laughable but it's nice to see once in a while to veer away from serious stuff sometimes.
