Being a vegetarian

I've read about an article on how they brutally kill cattles, chickens, and pigs to turn them into meat by product and this kinda touched me so I decided to try being a vegetarian. I reason to myself that being a vegan is a sensible move sorta kind of detoxification. I promised to myself no more meat for the rest of my life. Alas, like all of my new year's resolution, that promised lasted for less than a week. I guess eating meat is part of my diet, I just couldn't get it out of my taste.

I have been veg*n for almost 20 years. I started for the ethical reasons as well. Then I began to learn how many good things come out of not eating animals. It's better for your health and the environment, and so many other reasons aside from the brutal cruelty. I stopped eating meat when I was around 12 years old. Now, I am nearly 30. I love being a vegetarian. I eat so many tasty meals that are full of nutrients and not full of cruelty and suffering. There are so many fake meats out there I don't know how anyone who felt so strongly about animal suffering could eat flesh of a living being. I hope you decide to try being vegetarian again.

Suddenly becoming vegan is incredibly different, much easier to just stop eating meat. I am a vegetarian. I stopped eating meat when I was about 13, started eating some meat again when I was 15, then stopped again about 21 years ago. When I stopped eating meat the second time, I would smell bacon and really crave it, but discovered that eating bacon flavoured crisps when I got a craving satisfied it! After a while you can't bear the smell of meat, and the thought of eating it is awful. Just cutting down might be a good start.
