Did God Create different Races as a teaching tool?

I lived most of my youth in a small town with Caucasians - Germans, Danish, Polish. I read of different cultures and saw different races on television, but it was not until I was sixteen that I had the opportunity to speak someone with other than lighter skin color. I was curious and I must admit delighted. My first thoughts were of 'How did this skin difference happen,' and then 'Why did this happen.' Being raised Christian I did try to seek answers in the Bible, but often found prejudice only towards cultures and not skin color. The Bible spoke of 'servants' and 'slaves' often, but I do not recall the mention of skin color except for the accepted tradition of the three sons of Noah: Shem (Caucasian), Japeth (Mongoloid) and Ham (Negroid). See http://www.bible-truth,org/race.htm . My brother fell in love with an Asian while in the Army. When he brought her home to our small town many people stared, and few spoke to her. As I traveled throughout my life and years passed, the racial differences became lessened, then greater, and then here we are today. People are finally talking about racial differences. I remain curious and delighted. I truly believe that God, Supreme Being, or Mother Father God (as you choose) has given us this gift of difference to prove our love for our Maker, because our Maker is All in One. Of what I believe is truth, than the World, as a whole, has failed the test.
