I was thinking about perhaps participating in a local CSA provided I have the money of course. *LOL* Darn that money thing again. I was wondering what your experiences were? How does one pick out a good CSA? Was a full share enough for your household? Share your experience so I can decide if this may be a good way to go for us. As I'd like to eat more organic but I know I can't grow everything in my small garden but I also can't afford store bought organics either.

I am also interested in CSA (although I think you might be very lucky to find an organic group), but I have never yet come across an opportunity. Living in the country as I do it would be easy enough to find a farmer, but the problem is a lot of people round here grow their own vegetables and fruit anyway. I have considered starting a group, finding a suitable farmer, and Bob's your uncle, but I'm a genuine loner newly arrived (3 years) in a small, conservative country town, and so even that is an unlikely possibility. But when I look at the vegetables and particularly the fruit (hah!) available in the supermarkets, it really gripes me that there is no local CSA group. Good luck with it, I think it would be good for you. Lash
