Mount Kailash, with awesome beauty 6,740 m of height with 4 great faces for four great religions: Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, the Jain religion and the pre-Buddhist animistic religion - Bonpo. It seems exactly like the Shiva-linga shaped Mount Kailash from the Northern Face.Over the centuries pilgrims have constantly journeyed covering hugh distances to achieve enlightenment or cleanse themselves of sin,or just to pay a visit to the paradise on Earth braving enormous distances, particularly harsh weather. The dessert like terrain The Rough Terrain on the way.For the Hindus Mount Kailash is the Shiva, and his consort Parvati. For the Jains, this is the site where their first prophet achieved enlightenment. For the ancient religion of Bon, it is the site where its founder Shanrab is said to have descended from heaven. For the Tibetans this is a special place because their poet saint Milarepa, spent several years here meditating in a cave, and while for the rest of the people it's a sheer magnificent beauty by which one cannot turn-away;its a beauty just like a Black-hole where we can't go but get pulled into it, where as over here by desire we should/ can make a visit and by our own wish we would like to be get pulled into its beauty .... The Indian ministry of external affairs and along with the full cooperation readily given by the Chinese government, Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam has been conducting trips to Kailash - Mansarovar through the Lipulekh pass.(Interestingly both the country are holding talks on Arunachal-pradesh as well for such a facilitation on Indian soil.)Many myths are associated with this unusual mountain and lake. The sight of the Holy lake was quite impressing, had there been no clouds the shade of the mountains, including the great Kailash would be seen on this dark green water. Its a must for one's lifetime!!!

Its the one place to visit on Earth, than it is this Manasa Sarovar, the only bad thing is that it is in China, and the only good thing is that it is in China, or else Indian politicians would have made it another issue. mughal rulers would have plundered it and built another mosque beside it.

You are very very bold and your comments are very beautiful,It does not matter who builds what and how !!! the truth remains the truth, that is why history always remains part of our life and specifically in India it is very important. We Indians (Hindu)should take all our present day decision and action only through the third-eye "THE PAST HISTORY". Other wise we will be kicked out of this country, even our Constitution keeps oiling their wheel by these politicians for there vested interest. Please refer one of my discussion on "Unemployment+illegal immigration".
