God is like a sleeping pill. People want him desperately for comfort and consolation.

Yes, God has the ability to comfort anyone. He is the greatest thing going. Too bad so many people do not realize that.

Only for some he is the "greatest thing going" and thats great for them..but there are ppl such as myself that dont feel that way and know that OUR paths are "the greatest thing going" for us ya know..and thats perfect too..

Maybe some ppl are desperate like that but not all...not by any means...I know I'm not..I dont want nor do i need something to put me to sleep spiritually...I enjoy my personal path that keeps me alive and positive..I dont want to be groggy and spaced out spiritually..

Spaced out? Spiritually? Not a chance. I am very much alive and aware of my surroundings, as well as my life. Not groggy a bit! I am very much awake.

which is fabulous...but if you really give it some thought, using that analogy really wasnt wise considering sleeping pills make you sleepy, spaced out and groggy

God is not sleeping pill dear .... he is "Strength" and sometimes "Patience" - People want him for
Each time we face fear, discomfart, worry, distress, agony, grief, and missery we ask for the strength from him
For the people who knows god and himself - he will also express thanks and gratitute for all the opportunity, luck and joyful moments in life
By doing so God gives courage and confidence to the believer.

Have you ever given your child a hard task to do??? When it gets tough they come back to you for the answers. A wise parent might guide but never do it for them. Children must learn to walk on their own two feet. We love those kids no matter what!!!!
