I've been reading ancient text and belong to a Gnostic group. It is so fascinating. Our group does not just read and interpret Nag Hammadi Scriptures, but our researching Gnostic traditions. It's an entirely different perspective on Jesus and his teachings.

To be gnostic is to seek knowledge, to seek knowledge will put you on a quest and the best person to be involved with in a gnostic discussion would be Gnosisquest... As for the teachings of Jesus there really isn't all that much that can be known except for that taken from the book called the Bible as it appears almost all other documentation has been destroyed. What is most amazing to me is the number of times that a belief is twisted while the obvious is ignored. I love to start in the beginning with the book of Genesis at the fall of man and I love to ask this simple question, where was Adam when Eve ate and shared the Apple? Did Jesus belong to a church? Do you believe in the virgin birth? Does the virgin birth matter for a person to believe in Jesus? What part of Jesus is GOD and vica-versa? Does the crucifixion of Jesus bring Salvation to all people or all living things in our universe? Should we go back to animal sacrifices? Are humans also animals?

I've tried to talk to Gnosisquest but he ignores my conservative ways. The Virgin in Virgin Mary is the virginity of her Spirit. That's the Gnostic belief, and probably all the earliest of Jesus' followers believed that as it makes common sense, as well as Virgin Spirit being mentioned many times in the Nag Hammadi texts. I want to know where you believe Adam's soul is now? Of course humans are animals, some of us (them) more than others :)

Speaking of spirits they are: a.) With us b.) Gathered together in a collective source Now to say that Mary the one with a Virgin Spirit as the mother of Jesus gave birth to a babe that would live and die persecuted by the religious leaders and the government and has ever existed puts a belief into the person that accepts such a claim to conclude that they attempted to kill the light of love and failed in truth. There certainly are some real animals in human form walking the face of the Earth and trampling upon all that is good. As a sacrificial martyr do you think Jesus would be pleased with Organized Religion?

I don't think Jesus would be pleased with organized religion. He was not pleased with organized religion of his time. Jesus was about spiritual growth.
