Help - Cat lies in home traffic

Our newest cat cannot sleep in cardboard boxes or crafted shelters. He has to lie around the corner or in a doorway - on his back! I stepped on him twice and he just continues to lie about in these vulnerable places. He's an older cat and very loving, and unfortunately for him, very trusting to clumsy footsteps.

Oh' dear, Poor you having a cat that craves attention to be disturbed whenever you travel your path from point A to point B... Talking about points, you get a point for the point but maybe not a penny for every point you make.

Yes, I think this may be pointless. Oh well, at least I can practice my typing for my part time temporary job that I need.
