YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER in order to enter into a contract to purchase a home, unless you are a emancipated minor. You should check the laws in the state you are moving to first.

Where you live is a matter of choice. With the price of gas these days, I suggest looking closer to your new job. If you've never own a home before, I recommend taking a look at this website naca.com - The great part is there is NO DOWNPAYMENT, NO CLOSING COST and LOW INTEREST RATE ON YOUR HOME LOAN(today's interest 4.74% -fixed 30 yrs as of 8/26/09)Visit the site NACA.COM Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America This non-profit program is designed for homebuyers and homeowners. You still qualify for a homeloan even if you already have one BUT,it must be on the market for sale and it MUST close before you close on the new one. Since it is a program, you will have to attend a 4 hour workshop which you can signup for on their site for more information. Also, it a great program for anyone in the process of facing FORECLOSURE called HOME SAVE. This program isn't for everyone, but everyone can benefit from it.
