She thinks she has to count everything now

My daughter has been going through this stage where she think she needs to count everything. Don't get me wrong, I am proud of her counting abilities, but she has to count every step on the way down and on the way back up. It can get a little time consuming when you are trying to get somewhere on time. Anybody have a kid going through a "just have to do it every time" stage right now? What is it?

I found it very funny. I would let her do the counting, great brain exercise for future learning.I know, I know...it takes time, but she may be in her pick time when she needs to be awarded for being smart...and able to count... HUGS

The other day I jokingly asked her what is 8 times 8 and she just spit out the answer. 64 So I said what is 9 times 9 and she said 82. Only off by one anyway. Not bad for 2 1/2.

she is very talented, good job....
