how many of you out there don't bother to read the fine print before signing.

i was guilty of this until i meet my husband he reads everything so now i do. even when they are standing there telling you what it says you are signing, i still read it first. after all they work for the company you are your own friend protect yourself the best you can. alot of what you sign at doctors offices is not needed and i refuse to sign, they are taken aback at first but will always agree in the end after all i am paying them not the other way around.

I know I usally dont read the fine print even though the only things I sign are for medical papers when I go to the hospital. But it has cost my sister a lot of money since she had to pay $100 for golds gum for not reading the fine print which I dont know why she had to pay all that money when she canceld her membership over a year ago.

YES! I just made that mistake twice in a row! Ugh. I bought this diet pill online a couple months ago on a free trial. So I only ended up paying 1.50 for shipping and handling. And then a month later they took out 58.00 from my account! And then did it again at the end of the month. Apparantly the free trial was only free for two weeks and since I didn't send it back they charged me 58.00 for the 'free trial' and then apparantly I also agreed to a 3 month supply and thats where the other 58.00 came from. And then a couple weeks ago I got something in the mail saying 'free 6 week issue trial!' for the People magazine. I just filled out my name and address and I just received the bill saying thank you for subscribing you ow 46.00 dollars. So I also read the fine print before agreeing to anything anymore! It took a lesson to figure it out though.

Things seem to be very sneaky the way they are done today, no honor. It's sad. Sorry you had to be taken advantage of. Just a thought you might have to cancel you card as lost and get a new one, that will stop any futher charges.

I always read each and every thing in any kind of contract, etc. I don't understand why somebody wouldn't take the time?! That's where they take advantage of the average non-reading person: in the fine print. It doesn't matter what it is, if I have to sign it I will read it to make sure I understand the terms. I even do that online when I sign up at websites. Some of their terms of service I will not agree to. If a person doesn't take the time to review and understand what they're signing, then they shouldn't be surprised when things aren't as they seem.
