In examining the mamoth 1000 page healthcare bill I have long wondered why it took so many pages of gobbledy-g00k to make sure everyone has insurance. Thomas Sowell in the third chapter of his 4 part series entitled "Whose Medical Decisions?" really hits the nail on the head!

Some facts instead of the Myths of Healthcare Insurance.
46 million without health insurance. Sounds awful!
28 million of those make between $50k and $75k and choose NOT to buy insurance.
14 million qualify for government programs already in existence and have not appliled. LETS GET THEM SIGNED UP!
That leaves 4 million not covered and who do not qualify for government assistance.
So...let's just lower the qualifications and make them elligible. PROBLEM SOLVED.
But then the Orwellian social engineers couldn't get their hooks in them could they?
