In Tibet, there are a group of people known as the Lung Gom-Pa Runners, capable of putting themselves in a sort of mental trance, and, maintaining that state of mind, running great distances (100+ miles) without food or rest. Some of them have even come to the belief, that they must shackle their bodies with chains to prevent them from floating away in the sky. Apparently, it has a lot to do with expanding the focus of the eyes to, where you or I see a focal point with our eyes, and everything else falls out of focus in our peripheral vision, they can see with clarity day or night with the whole of their eyes, not just the center. I have heard other accounts, where a person comes to a trance-like state, and is able to perform amazing feats, such as levitation, or lifting several times their body weight. What's your take? Ever hear about any other amazing trance induced abilities?
