Yes mylotters, payday is coming again. For those working in an office for a salary. And for those who earns bi-quincena, two paydays in a month. But are you happy with paydays? Everybody should be, as this is the day we get our fruits of hardship in the past days. After all these years of working in different offices and companies, this year is the most difficult days for me. How can you be happy with paydays, when it means another pay of the rent? It is another pay of the electricity billl, water bill, internet and phone bills. When payday is just the day for debt collectors. So, are you happy because it' payday?

Hello Neil, Then i guess,it should be the debt collectors day,and they are the one who feels happy when payday comes. Yah,eventhu i don't live in a rented house, everytime the month ends,i am also starting to count/calculate how much i am going to pay for my monthly bills.I guess my electric bills will be higher this month due to my friends visits. But,it's alright,it's not everyday that she visited me and stays with me for few days or...a week. So,i expect a higher bills this month.

our electric bills actually is not that high but because my income is not enough, it will get higher once another bill comes in, and we still have one unpaid. what really takes the most part of my income is the house rent. i wish i have our own house.

i hope so, but i heard our agency have some kind of that project, unfortunately, those were located somewhere in manila. i heard about low ocst housing projects here in cebu and we actually made some checking with those sites. but when we were handed the leaflets and saw how much we have to pay, it turned out to be not for the poor.

yah,i know what u wanted to express my friend. It is really so hard to live in a rented house.Hope your local government will have some special project just like here in our place (Global City)where a housing project is given to all qualified residents. So far there are more than hundred families who were benifited with this project, and it is still going on,more houses were being built for low income residents.

Yes, I am happy to it. Although right now my account is USD9.76, but I think it's OK for me to reach the minimum payout by the end of this month. So I look forward to the payday. I love China

My payday is weekly, so I get to enjoy my money even a little before saving some of it for the necessary expenses that mostly comes at the end of the month. And besides, I'm still living with my parents, so I don't have the burden of paying everything, but only just to contribute. The thrill of paydays doesn't get that exciting though. Since it comes every week, it seems more normal than those who receives them just twice a month. And also for the fact that we receive less than them.

Thank you. I'm trying to save as much as I can, so that if the day comes that I have to live on my own, I could handle it without their financial help. I wish you luck too.

hi swirlz. yeah, i know how it feels to get a weekly pay. i had been receiving that kind of pay for 9 years when i still have a second job. it's kinda small but truly helps a lot in the expenses. those days were gone already i really feel so sad to lose that one. sine you are still with your parents, you could save a lot of money for your future life. wish you all the best.

I would rather see it as the day the bills get paid so I don't have to worry about them for another month. Of course, it always hurts to see that money leave our hands so quickly after getting it. I think that is a universal thing, at least for most of us. We seem to be working just to pay the bills. When my son first moved into his own home, he got so upset about not having enough money to buy new video games or movies. I had to smile because it was his first REAL taste of adulthood and responsibility. He gradually adjusted, although he still feels the way most of us do; that we always seem to have more bills than we do money. (Fortunately, that's about to change for me. )

That is exactly what most people say, we have to work so that we can pay the bills. Other than that, the lending people will not give us another credit if we fail at least once. LOL Being a parent, that is one thing I want to see soon, my kids have their own families and their own income. It is really a great feeling, once they stand on their own feet. And when they have their own money, we at least can borrow from them, in times of hardship. LOL

That's very true! My oldest son, the wise, responsible, miserly son, is always there if we need him. He always seems to have a little money tucked away somewhere, probably because he is like a miserly old man and hangs onto every penny he can. Of course, now he has a girlfriend so he's spending more money now than he used to but I'm sure that he still has money hidden away. Hmmm, now that I think about it, his girlfriend works where he does and still lives at home with her parents so she's able to save quite a lot of her income. Maybe he's got her buying HIM things instead of the other way around. I wouldn't put it past him. The day my kids moved out was definitely a good day for me. Although I miss them not being around, I'm happy that they are on their own. Well, my youngest son still can't find a full-time job, but he takes whatever odd-job he can find and is helping to pay his brother's bills. (They live together for the time being.) As their mother, though, I still worry about whether or not they're eating right and how they manage when they get sick, stuff like that. They seem to be doing just fine, though. Of course, I'm sure that my sending them home with tons of food each time they visit doesn't hurt any.

hi neil, yes i am one of those people who are excited and happy because it's pay day again.. do you mean here in the office and in myLot?? in office payday i am excited but here in myLot i think no because i am half far away of the $10.. maybe next month i can have it for the very first time and i am very excited on it.. as what you have said, after receiving the salary is the payments for our obligations and debts from all people around us.. and one of those is the electricity bill, huhuh.. and note there's a lot of holiday this month so another deduction from the payroll.. and in the end, i am not happy anymore, i am totally sad.. janebeth.

hi jane. well if you work only at mylot, then you can say so. but i am actually talking about the pays we get from working in the office, as in offline job. that's one thing i hate being a job order or casual employee, you have no pay if you have no work, and holidays is a hate for them.

I used to be happy with my payday too. Until, like you, all of my salary got consumed by all my obligations. I don't even touch my salary anymore, I just issue checks to all the utility companies I need to pay, for the rent and other obligations. I just monitor the checks that comes in my account then after a day or two, all my salary is gone. I don't get excited anymore, unlike before when I would think that I have money to go out and eat, to watch movies or to buy some clothes. Now, its just all about the bills that I have to pay.

yes, i'm happy with paydays. it's true when paydays come, all those bills will reduce our happiness. even if there is no paydays, those bills still exist. they will make us worried more. let's hope we can get more pay and less bills.

yes that's true, my friend. bills remain as bills even if it's not payday. well, let's all hope the crisis get over soon with higher pay and less bills.

Hi Neil, I am happy with my pay day, although i don't get much but I still get a little just to buy what I need for myself, but as you say, its for debt colecting and ye4s we have to pay out as soon as it comes in, its a way of life, w don't get anything for free and we have to pay for living, but sometimes we have to do without things that is not necessary, like the internet or tv, many homes have not got that but elictricty and gas, water are the main things we need to live on apart from food. What I earn from mylot is just a little pocket money for me which I save it up for me going away on a little trip away evey two years. Wouldn't it be grand when we get our pay, its all for us and having to pay out? Hugs. Tamara

with mylot, i have different feelings when i reach payout at the end of the month, because no mylot mean no payout. but with the regular job where you really have to work but you will still receive your pay at the end of the month. there is a big difference.

well, am not sure what to say since i don't have a job.yet. but i knew how it felt like before, i always rush into the ATM to get my money but i make sure the area is secure since people get robbed on the payday and it's not good.but it was okay for me to pay bills and buy groceries because i really felt that i was helping my mom at that time.. makes me wonder on when am gonna get a job again
