I've been here for a month now, and I am proud to say, I am surviving! What makes things easy for me is I am with my husband now, but ofcourse missing my family back home is all part of it. When it comes to work, I love my work back home, working as an art director in an advertising agency... getting to work with models, actors and actresses in a world renowned account I was handling...now I have none here. Why is it hard for me to find a regular job here in Dubai? What am I doing wrong?

Absolutely NOT! U're in a good way to decide with ur husband even u must leave ur settle job in ur country before. Husband and wife should be live together. I think wherever we live as long as we have skill and competent to take responsibilities which is company need it, we'll find a job, just keep strugle and effort to reach all over what u want to achieve.

I think that this isn't your fault. I don't know before you go to Dubai, the country in which life, but to the affluent Middle East, even if you previously how competent, to here, you cann't have a handy (if I guessed it, you should is a woman, right? ) In Dubai, women's low status is inherited for thousands of years of local tradition, Now that you think to settle there, you also can only be used to their traditions, a good wife ,mother at home had.
