What makes you want to attend a concert?

What drives you to go see a concert? Obviously the bands that are playing is important, but what else? what do you look for in a venue? does having access to the performers add anything to you? does a merchandise table make everything seem more organized? would you be more likely to attend a charity event? Does it matter who is organizing the event? thank you in advance for your opinions!

When I hear that one of my favourite bands are touring the UK I look at their tour dates to see where they are performing and then select which venue I have either been to already or which is nearest or where I would like to go like if I have heard good things about the venue. It really doesn't matter to me who is organizing the event as they are really just a name on a ticket as far as you are concerned at the venue.

If it is some one I know and I like and I want to go see them performe. It is at a location I can get to and don't have to travle as far as I would not want to. As long as I have the money to go to the concert.

i usually visit a concert by the fame of it i.e. on other people's comment liking and disliking of the band or group etc. if someone says me that its a gud show and one must watch it then i become attracted to watch the the uniqueness and heart throbe of many.

there are several factors (rather than the band of course) that I consider before really goin out at a concert. 1. friends/crowd 2. funds/moolah 3. mah mood

Rather than the bands playing, the accessibility of the concert is also important. The place where it is held is important because people would be able to go to the place with no hassle or is near their homes or towns. The production also matters on how they organize the event, so that people would be comfortable in participating in the event.
