So my son's turning 1 on Saturday. I now realize how true it is when people say time flies. I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. It's bitter sweet to see him grow. Now his walking, talking, and functioning like a little man. lol. He just got his first haircut yesterday. I love being a mom. It's the best thing that's every happened to me!!

Happy first birthday to your son!! You've hit on such an important point here. It really is bittersweet to see your children grow up. The day that you became a mother is forever ingrained into your mind, but all too soon you see that your child doesn't need you nearly as much as they did when they were tiny. You are also so very right that becoming a mother is the best thing that ever happens to a woman. It is the greatest gift of all to have the opportunity to always be there for your children.

Yea, my friends tell me wait until he's 3 or 4 and you'll want another one. When he's running around doing his own thing you'll miss when he was so dependent on you. I enjoy it one day at a time, but I also look forward to the day I can have a conversation with him and ask him about his first day of school.

Congratulation Roxanne2009!!!!! I know the joy that you are reffering to, it is like no other!! I think back to my younger years and can't remember such happiness. I know that my two blessings are the reason I keep going, keep trying. My kids love to hear stories of when they were little, things they said or did. They are now 9 and 10 and even today do the cutest thing. Boys really are a mama's treasure, they will do everything for you with all the love in their little heart! Girls rock as well, we just see things in a more mature nature. I have one of each so I get to see the best of both worlds, I love it!!! Being a mom is THE best present, gift, EVER! Have fun Saturday.

Thank you. Yea you do have the best of both worlds. I hope to one day. He's my pride and joy and it's funny because he's only a year old, but I can't really remember how my life was before him and I've never been happier. I could be having the worse day, but when I get home and see his little face, it all goes away.

First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your little man. Next if you think this year flew by just wait. Treasure every minute because my oldest is eighteen and like you I can remember the day he was born like yesterday. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Happy birthday to your son for tomorrow. Being a parent is very bittersweet, everytime that they learn something new it makes you so proud that they are growing up yet it makes you sad because they will never be your teeny tiny newborn baby ever again. Being a parent is the best thing in the world and you should cherish every moment that you are blessed with before they are grown up and having babies of their own.

Happy Birthday to your son. That first year goes by the fastest! I remember when my son turned 10 I couldn't believe that 10 years had gone by so fast and he was in the double digits already. Seems like next thing I know I blinked and he's suddenly 18. LOL
