My son after coming fom outside always takes off his footwear whereever he is.We have told him so many times to leave the footwear in a designated place. But he takes it lightly & even got good scoldings from me & my wife. Do anyone in your house have the same habit?

Hi, In our house there is a particular place near the entrance meant for shoes. AS soon as we enter the house we leave our shoes there. Some are used to leave outside the house also. very rarely we use sandals within the house. Hence the dirt brought by the shoes or chappals cannot come into the house.

I dont really have a specific place where my shoes MUST go. I usually keep my trainers and house shoes beside my bed and my work shoes in the car. Any others might be in the wardrobe or understair cupboard. As long as they are not in a place where people will trip over them & I'll know where to find them next time I want to wear them, its not that big a deal to me.

I always leave the footwear where I am supposed to leave. I have a rack where I keep my shoes at home. I use different type of sandals to wear at home and when I go out of house. As soon as I reach home, I remove my sandals and leave in in the rack and get the comfortable ones for home.

I don't like bringing shoes into the house. I just feel that it is really dirty. All the dirt and grime from outside which comes into contact with our feet should really be kept outside in my opinion. In my household we do have a strict rule about removing shoes in a designated place, and thankfully we do all follow it, I guess because we all feel the same way.

Yes, I am very particular with cleanliness inside the house. I clean the floors and sweep away the dirt and would not allow anyone to step inside with his footwear he used outside the house. Any visitors should remove his shoes especially if got dirty with a lot of mud during rainy season. I do not like diseases or infection spreads because of dirty footwear. Aside, from that, i do not like to follow his footprints being left on the floors and have to clean it over and over again. I get annoy and it gives me more doubles chores. Inside our homes, their is individual slippers for home use only and is separate from footwear being used outside the house..

My daughter does the same thing. She leaves her shoes wherever she takes them off. It could be in the middle of the room. I'm always tripping over them. I always tell her to put them in a basket by the stairs. She always forgets! I'm also constantly scolding her over her shoes.
