For me, English is not my mother tougue, and my first language is Chinese, because I live in China. I think mylot is a great place for me to practice my English, and I love here a lot. What about you? Is English your first language? Have a nice day!

No, my mother language is Indonesian because I live in Indonesia.Yes, I think so with you, on myLot we can improve and practice our English. I think here not the best, because we just learn and practice to write and read. Do you know an on-line website where we can learn and practice our speaking and listening English ?

Mylot is actually a good site for everybody. We can learn from many ideas of different members all over the world. If you want to practice speaking, you can do it by using skype or yahoo messenger with a friend you like to talk to. That's the cheapest and easiest I think. In the Philippines, we teach foreign students online using skype.

I noticed you joined the website 3 years ago, what do you think the website? I mean have you improved your english by joining the website? what's your gain besides of it. I thought not many Chinese knew the website, especially three years ago, but you are exceptional one as I have known. Happy mylotting.

Yes, English is my first language. I often wish it wasn't, and that I was born someplace like Germany or Sweden so that I could speak another language fluently, but learn English in school and have the ability to practice in everyday life. Here in Canada, we are technically a bilingual country (with French being our second official language), and although I took French in high school our area doesn't have many francophones, so if you don't practice it, you lose it. I do find it's easier to re-learn when I NEED to speak French -- having a basis for the language already -- but without practice, I can speak very little off the top of my head.

Most importantly, when we are communitaing with friends from all over the world, we are also making money, this is wonderful. So I have to say, I like working with Mylot too.

English is not my mother tongue as I live in Indonesia. Speaking in Indonesian in daily live, practicing spoken English is only when I talk to some foreigner while working with clients. Glad to find this site to polish my written English

I think you meant mother tongue. English is not my mother tongue. My first language is mandarin. My parents taught me mandarin language when i was a child, or even baby. So Chinese Mandarin is my mother tongue. I starting learn english when i was on elemantary school. I think it's when i was 7 or 8 years old. So it has been a long time since my first time learn english. At that period, i only learnt few things about english. Perhaps that's because i was just a child so my english teacher only taught me some common vocabulary. But later i always try to learn more and more for improve my english. Although today i haven't have good english, but so far i'm satisfy with my english skills. I hope i will have a good time for learn more my english skills. Currently in my office we have some foreigners. So we usually use english for communicate each other. I never find any difficulities when i must tell them something because i know eventhough i have a very limited english but it's good enough for working purposes. Also, i have english dictionary installed in my mobile phone so i can use it anytime if i find difficulities. But i seldom use it so far. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

yes your right, not all of us here are native english.. personally, aside from tagalog which is our national language in our country, i also used 2 local dialects... though english becomes our 2nd language here.. since we started school right at an early age.. we already have english subject. from basic to very complicated one.. normally we only used english during class... like discussion and etc.. but once we are outside or at home we dont normally use it, though we often mixed it up with our tagalog words.. we used to call it taglish(Tagalo+English) mylot is one of the best site who can help us to practice our english communication. and its great...

English is not my mother tongue. It's actually the third language I learned since the first one is our native language and then the national language was taught to us at school along with english. Yes, mylot is very helpful in our practice using English but learning should also extend to actually speaking the language so that understanding each other becomes easier. hehehe.. Take care!

Not, English. My country national language is called Filipino but in local dialect it is more known as Tagalog. I think of English as my second languages. It helps to be educated in both languages and English is an international languages. it helps a lot to learn English as it erases the barriers of languages and understand other cultures through learning it.
