How do you define a shopoholic? Is it a person who shops every day or one who shops until they are out of money and maxed out their credit cards? My daughter and I have been on a week long shopping spree. The reason is there were so many good sales we just had to check all the stores. We got some great deals at Maceys, J.C. Pennys, Belks and Dillards. I keep saying it's okay if I can save more than I spend, trouble is I don't want to stop...I love to shop. Most of all I like to see how much I save by buying off the sales rack. I guess I use the amount saved as an excuse to spend more. Does that make me a shopholic or a thrifty shopper?

Shopaholic is referred to a person who's addicted to shopping.People with such peculiar attitude are often seen, they may be rich or not so rich, but some people who are referred to as shopaholics are determined to spend their money on buying new and different items of their choice that sometime may or may not be useful to them.

i so much agree... these people were labeled to as stuff-centered. they would want to try something new in order for them to be satisfied.

I think it's just a person that shops all the time, thrifty or not. but this is something that goes on forever, like for as long as you know the person. if you only shop when prices are low, then the closest term is bargain shopper. you don't shop all the time but you do shop when the price is right. in times like this I'd imagine a lot of bargain shoppers out there, regardless they are rich or not, use credit card or cash.
