I have been writing for A/C since May of this year, I know how the clout levels work, and am now at level 6, in about 2 or 3 more months I should reach level 7. Is this normal? I have published 80 articles, Have 4 more to write, 1 to rewrite, and have one on line waiting. How long did it take others to reach this level?

Hi Tosha33, some writers are slower to reach higher Clout in AC, while some are extremely fast. one writer in AC is very happy with his achievement. He wrote 2,000 articles in 18 months, and reached Clout 10 in less than a year. He writes mainly news articles. I take about six months to reach Clout 7, hope to reach Clout 8 in September, and Clout 9 a year later.

I am with you at Cloud 6, but it all comes down to page views. To move from Cloud 6, you have to go from 20,000 page views to 50,000 page views. That either means you have to write a lot more articles or get a lot more people to read your articles to move ahead. If you write fast and have a big audience, you can move up quickly. As for me, I appear to be on the slow train to the top. How many articles to you have posted to Associated Content? I just noticed that I have 100 as of today.

Sorry, I just re-read your opening, and it says you have 80. I guess the more important number is how many page views do you have?

I feel that my clout level has been increasing at a decent pace. I believe that I am up to a 5 now and I have only been writing for them about 3 months. I do have some fans and I seem to get fairly decent page views. I think that the more you write for them the faster that they will increase the clout level as it is based on page views. If you will tell me what name you write under I will look for some of your articles.

Hi, I write on AC. I started early this year. I took a break from AC and then recently got back into it. I love it. I would like to read some of your content. Is your page link on your profile here on Mylot?

I can't remember how long it took to get to the other clout levels for me. I still don't have an ac fan base. LOL I know I have been at level 9 for what seems like forever. LOL It couldn't have been that long though. LOL

At first, and for the longest time, I didn't even know anything about the clout levels and then last year I started writing at AC again and just this year (not long ago) I became an 8 so it has taken me a very long time to get to a clout level 8. I am pleased with it and I want to become a clout level 9 but I imagine it will take another year or more to achieve that.

I am currently at clout level 10. I just made it there this month. I have been a member at associated content for years. It took me five years to get to this level so it takes awhile. I have over two hundred articles in my library so you need to have a lot more articles in order to speed up the process of getting your clout level higher.
