Facebook is encouraging us to be more... nosy?

Notice how now you can comment on ANYTHING in facebook? pictures, comments, quizzes, even third party message replies. I don't go snooping around my friends pages, their pictures or wall, unless its at my home page and it looks interesting.. but even then i'm feeling twitches of guilt at spying on friends and family. last month, some of my close facebook friends started this new trend, spamming on each other's page, at first it was funny, then it got annoying with all the nonsense on my page, with all the spam, the proper misuse of 'commenting' on facebook. I notice i've been commenting a lot on stuff in facebook, i really think i've become more of busy-body since i've started surfing facebook. lol. Do you snoop? feel guilty? how about commenting? I think on some level everyone wants to be commented. just not spams.

It's difficult to know how much restrictions to place on page. Too strict, no one can find you... open to public then you invite spammers and creeps. Which some of the creeps are snoopin' on us.

That's how Facebook has been for a while now. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it but I'm pretty use to it now.

I think Facebook is designed that way . . . to encourage others to interact with others in every way possible. I don't think it's snooping . . . people put up their information knowing that they will be "snooped" (otherwise, what's the point of being of Facebook if you don't want to be snooped on). If I have the time, sure I want to see what's going on with my friends and family - and I hope they will want to do the same with my Facebook wall/photos/info/comments. I don't feel guilty because I'm sure the information was put there so others can feel free to see/read. I will comment wherever I can . . . it's sort of like PR . . . the more you comment to others, the more comments you will most likely receive. Again, I believe it's all designed this way.
