It is not a dream, if you plan properly and invest very early in your life, all these things are possible. One of my sister in law, who was quite poor in her early life and has lost her father in her young age, has shown that all the things which you have mentioned are possible, without a debt.

Sanjana you are lucky. It is only 100k in Malysia. In India the prices are going sky high and a 2BHK apartment in the subrbs of Chennai cost not less than 35 to 40 lakhs.People are going for it, because of the low interest rates for housing purposes.

Unless you are rich or have won the lottery then I guess most families would only dream of being totally and utterly debt free. With the world the way it is and most countries being hit by the dreaded recession it's getting harder and harder to stay debt free, with everything on the increase, infation still going up and people losing their jobs on a daily basis, being debt free seems just like an impossible dream for most people.

I agree with you. I don't like borrowing money just to buy or enjoy things for its sake. I like to save money and buy it when I have the enough amount in my bank savings. I never use credit card in my life, I don't want to pay extra interests and other penalties for it so I never try to avail it even if I am qualified to own one. I have travelled for vacations and I never have a debt. I bought gadgets that I also like. Its good to be debt-free so that you can be worry-free in the same time.

Hey, Yes that is exactly what I want. I really do want to own my own house, car, maybe a small business and have a really happily family. Debt free would really be quite nice, I would really want to have no debt. It would be a dream come true. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I think this is not possible. To have everytting in life and yet be debt free looks improbable. Who doesnt have debt.. its not the debt that burdens someone down, it is the lack of courage and idea which is more painful and stressing. There is always a way to free from debt, however high, provided we look for solutions and not worry about the debt itself thx

That sounds so nice. I still have a ton of student loans to pay back. Living debt free must truly be a good way to live! For me it is a dream though. Maybe I can come back to this thread in ten or fifteen years and tell you it isn't just a dream. But for now, it is.

Yes, debt free is what I'm chasing now. But I don't know when I possible to have that luxury because currently I have so many things to do and settle. That's why currently I'm learning and working to extra money through internet and somehow, it so hard. But I cannot give up because life is about learning process. There will be ups and downs. I'm trying to be positive and believe that I will be debt free as I wish to be and at the same time fulfilling all my desires that all needed a lot of money. Fighting.

Hello my friend sanjana_aslam Ji, Well, in our case it is not a dream and we have debt-free life. We have our own house, our children are grown/well educated and living of their own. We are niether dependent on anyone, except that due to old age, somebody has to take us for walk. Otherwise, we can do our own work and we do not have to give any money to anyone. We have visited at laest USA. We are always surplus of funds. Remember, one should spread legs according to one's own length, so taht it is not bare to others. be within one's resources. May God bless You and have great time.
