Oh Woman! Would You Risk For The Sake Of Vanity?

No offense, but what is vanity with women? Well, I do not know about all the ladies here but I just do not think or rather consider undergoing a procedure to have blue eyes. To begin, any invasive procedures a.k.a. operation is risky, dangerous and hazardous. Now, which of these words is unfamiliar or does one not understand? Yet, we have this UK woman, a single mother of three, who did not even have any hesitations or second thoughts to rush over to Panama and undergo a £5,000 operation which could turn her dark brown eyes light blue. Briefly, the operation which involves inserting a colored lens inside the eye, over the iris!?! Well, after all the trouble, she's in for more as her procedure is now becoming a complication and worst doctors back in UK is fighting to save her eyesight! Talking about discomfort and pain, I mean whatever happened to colored contacts? Most of all sane logical sensibility here? I can't imagine anything worse than undergoing unecessary surgery. It's bad enough that so many people actually catch something in hospital or have complications after surgery when they have had a necessary operation. I personally avoid doctors and hospitals as much as possible. It does make you wonder if people who have these things done would be better off having counselling first to try and sort out their problems.

katsalot1, My exact sentiments here. With the economy getting tight on all of us, this poor woman would have to dig deeper (hopefully she still has or not into her reserves) for more money to repair this damage. Just don't know whether to be angry or sad for her now.
