Would you please call Oprah for me?

I just got done talking with my friend over the phone. Long story short, right now her life was a mess. She's just about to get a divorce, and somehow she get a lot of debt. After 15 minutes crying and venting, she said that "Would you please call Oprah for me?"
I was like what the heck? She said that the only person that might can help her with her situation right now is Oprah. After she said that, there's an awkward silence for few seconds. And then I heard her laughing little bit "sorry that I get little crazy"
Well, if you ever watch Oprah, you might know how "generous" she is. It got me think, these days are there more people like my friend? Thinking about asking Oprah to help out or thinking Oprah is one of the way out of problem?
Do you think world is a better place if people ask God first for way out?

Yes I would and do ask God first for a way out of my problems. I don't think about asking others and for surely not "Oprah." I always pray to God to help me get thru things that happen in my life and some how they straighten themselves out. It could take awhile but eventually things get better. I always believe God has a plan for us. We are where we are suppose to be at this time in our life.

Personally my thoughts on this, is why do so many people rely on people like Oprah to solve all of their problems and award them with Cash and nice prizes and offer advice for them and have everything disappear. But in reality like you have stated here people need more substance than this in their life. They need a belief system in something they can believe and Trust in and depend on and Pray too to help get them thru almost anything, but the problem is most people have no know how on who God is and to ever believe in him as well.

I think there wouldn't of been any awkward silence for a few seconds because I would of busted out laughing when she suggested that. That's hilarious!
I hope more people don't think like her. I would of never dreamed to call Oprah or anyone else for that matter. I'm still laughing. If it were just that easy...
And yes, I agree...God should be her first 'call'.
