hi friends.well this question has been bugging me for too long. which is hard? 200 runs in a T20 innings or playing 180 overs ( 4th and 5th day pitch) in a test match ? simple huh? true.200 runs have been scored before in a T20 match and some team might have played 180 overs without getting all out and won/save the match. but for a cricketer which is hard to accomplish?

Good Question ! i will share my thoughts. i am true cricket fan. i love watching cricket and true fan of india, ausies and england. i avoid watching zimbabwe, bangladesh games. i love T20, ODI, Test. but actually i love more for Test matches. T20 is a game of Luck. But Test is the real skill show done by the players. In T20 any team can lose or win. For instanse south africa was leading the tables in T20 wordcup upto semifinals. but lost in semifinal. due to pakistans luck they won the worldcup. remember india trashed pakistan at practise match at Trentbridge. One player can change is luck to win the match. For instanse a player tries to hit a six, if you think its his day then the ball reaches out of the ground or else its a catch. But in Test the true colors are shown by the players. its not compulsory to play defensively in test match. you can play as T20 in test match also. Gilchrist and Sewag are those player who finds quick runs. i love to watch test because i like watching cricket more than movies. if the crickets continues day by day its worth to watch. For T20 its only a 3 hours play.

I would say playing 180 overs. Surviving on the fourth or fifth day pitch is very very difficult and rarely happens and when it does happen its because the pitch held on well. 200 runs in a T20 is pretty difficulf if you get a well balanced pitch, but these days all we see is batsmen friendly pitches. Ive seen many 200 plus scores in a T20 innings, its even been done in the second innings. So I guess surviving on the last two days is the ultimate in cricket.

Really Good discussion. I say its a difficult task to bat on the 4th and 5th day pitch and that too when it is deteriorationg. Making 200 runs in 20 overs is a good. But it cannot match the talent of batting the entire day-4 and 5 in a crumbling pitch. Have a great day and happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)

As far as I think T20 is a madman's game.If everything falls in place then the 200 run barrier can be easily breached. But test cricket is a completely different ball game.Let us assume the pitch to be a paradise for batting ,surviving 180 overs is a massive task even on a day one wicket. To survive on a day 4/5 wicket for 180 overs is near impossible.

i think its very hard to play out the last two days of test match as pitch keep on deteriorating and becomes very hard to bat on but on other side if one player keep on gonig in T20 then its not that difficult to score 200
