Ok - Did anyone happen to catch the daytime emmy awards last night...IF you did, then you will probably agree with me that it was very very poorly done....1) there was no advertisement about the show at all...at a time when the soaps are strugling, a major network wouldn't even show the awards..I had to find it on the CW. 2) too much time was spent on the host and on sesame street..3) They cut out B&B acceptance speech at the end...I could go on and on about all the stuff that was wrong with the awards last night..I'm truly disappointed....How did you feel about it??

Hey kitty...I know that the actress who plays marty on OLTL won for best actress and I think the actress who plays Lulu on GH won for best younger actress.....I was very disappointed in the show yesterday...it looked like it was not rehearsed at all and it was horrible...

Hello leyisa Thank you so much for the information, I am glad I missed it if this was the case, takes all the fun out of it when things like this happen, hopefully next year they do things better, I am sure they don't want to lose their audience so they better get their act together if everyone feels they way you feel they may be in trouble next year, I know someone that watched but she did not let me know what she thought.

I was very disappointed with it.... for the reasons you mentioned and more. Like why were there only 3 shows nominated for best Daytime Drama and, like 5 or 6 nominees in best actor/actress categories? And how come Vans (Luke ATWT) was nominated as a Supporting Actor and not a Younger Actor? The guy who actually WON the young actor category was OLDER than Vans. The same with the winner of Young Actress. She is married, for crying out loud. I think YOUNG should be anyone under 20 years of age. Actually, didn't their used to be a "Newcomer" category? (I could be wrong about that). I didn't get to see any of my favourites. Nobody I like won. And where did this category of children's show performer come from? Three freakin' puppets were nominated! Not to take away from the puppeteer, but when did this category come into existence as this guy was winning his second Emmy for Elmo? It boggles my mind. Why only nominate 3 game shows but 4 game show hosts? Catch Cab??? Never heard of it before and it supposedly won in the past. What the heck? Have I been living in a cave for a few years, or what? I am pretty sure I haven't missed a Daytime Emmy Awards show in the last 10 years. I can even say they are usually shown in September, not August. This poorly prepared show, nominations, awards, etc. should all be complained about... probably to the Academy. I don't know what network since it announced ABC at the beginning but was shown on CW. I saw one commercial promoting the show and was stunned to see Vanessa Williams hosting. I was, like, huh? Though she didn't do a bad job, I didn't think she suited the job. A huge disappointment for me. For this I missed Big Brother? Don't worry, I taped it.

I never watch those award shows. But last night, nothing else on and I watched.. I did like Vanessa Williams initial song and how her face was put in scenes with soap actors. IT was pretty funny. But other than that...it was boring! And what was with all those tight, form fitting, nearly spandex white gowns many of the women wore? I mean, either it was totally obvious that they had NOTHING on under that tight dress, and that just showed literaly every single anything ... like their rear ends and everything "connected" to that area. They stood sideways and looked like sticks - totally not appealing in any way! ANd that one LuLu wore.. that was just a gross dress.. no other words come to mind! And did you also notice that she made herself up to where she almost looked exactly like Laura? I think Maxie should have won that award... not her. Maxie is so much better actress than Lulu. THat was very dissapointing. But other than that....I didn't put much eye/eye service to it! It was really boring.
