Hey all health concious mylotters. here is a question that is bugging me for a while . is walking a better exercise than jogging and i am asking for a age group of 15 - 23??? I think jogging is way better than walking gor this age group. Moreover i think for this age group walking for exercise just does suit . Some of my friends are arguing that walkin is one exercise for hundred exercises. i say jogging is one exercise for thousand exercises. Please help me out here . Please specify your age an what are your views annd what do u prefer yourself . Not necessary to mention age . Thanks for your time.

I think if you want to have your own knees at 50 .You had better not jog to long or hard. Walking briskly is just as good as jogging,if ya mix your speed up . Kinda like doing reps. Walking very fast ,backward then normal again repeating till your done. Your heart ,knee's and digestive system will thank you later . Even though jogging does not hurt us at a young age ,it does come back to haunt us as we age.Have a great day!

very true capsicum .You brought up some good points. What we can do is jog when we young then start brisk walking around middle age and then start walking near mid thirties.

I prefer to walk for much time than to go jogging. I have always prefered that too because I can feel comfortable and I am in no hurry to get tired very easily so I have plenty of time in the morning to go for a walk before coming to the office.

I prefer to jog or run, this helps me achieve my desired heart rate to make cardio and calorie burning more efficient.
