Mmmmmm Good.
I took a friend out salmon fishing for the first time on Sunday. It was a perfect day although a little more sun would have helped the salmon to jump a lot more. It's so nice to just sit there on a big rock, have a sandwhich and watch the salmon leaping out of the water.
I caught two nice salmon, one too big to keep. It was 29 inches and we can only keep them up to 25 inches but the second one I caught was in the limit at 24 inches so I brought it home for our family.
I cut the salmon into about 1 1/2 inch steaks and BBQed them with some BBQ sauce.
I also baked a few potatoes and made a nice salad with some of our fresh tomatoes, peppers, onions and lettuce. It made for a great dinner with enough for another meal later.
Do you barbeque salmon?
How do you prepare and what do you put on salmon?

When I lived in Oregon we used to go up to BC and do crabbing and Salmon fishing! I really don't care for Salmon that much. But I have a good sized smoker and liked them smoked! but the crab were outstanding! We'd go off Vancouver Island we had friends that lived there and they would BBQ them! Have a good one!
