Are you a generous person? When you see someone begging in the street, do you reach for your purse or wallet to give him some loose coins or a dollar? When Girl Guides and Boy Scouts come to you with their coin boxes to ask you to donate fro a cause, do you hesitate to give or do you smilingly give? Do you contribute to associations who ask for donations. Such associations could be The Society of the Blind,The Pink Ribbon Society for AIDS? Do you know you can get a receipt from them and get tax-offs?
Do tell us what is your opinion of giving donations. Do you give because you are by nature, generous or because you feel a civic duty to do so? Do give as well as discuss your viewpoints here.

Hi,
Last time I used to give to beggars when I see one.
But nowadays, many cases are from sindycate..so I
would not give to discourgae this type of activities.
I would prefer to channel the donations to homes
run by non-profit organisation or by churches whereby
the have orphanage, old folk homes, the needy homes under
their umbrella. Some have receipts and some don't.
For school marathon fund raising I do contribut a dollar
or two but I make sure I filled the name in the cards.
All the best!
