This morning, I was watching a morning show in GMA 7 called unang hirit. Arnold Clavio and Winnie Monsod was interviewing Mikey Arroyo (The president's son) regarding his wealth. According to their report, Mikey's wealth increase from 5 million in 2002 to over 70 million in 2005. 65 million in 3 years? What type of business do they run? He said that he is part of a corporation and he owns 40% of the company. When ask who were the partners,he said that it is confidential. Corporation are suppose to be registered in SEC and information are supposed to be open for public. What are your thoughts?

The arrogance of the Arroyos have come to the point that it is very annoying already that it is obvious they are keeping something for themselves and enjoying the political position they are holding now. It is as if they are really trying to take advantage of the remaining years to have themselves enrich in their last year of their mother's position. I just hope that they would not be allowed to be in the office by next year or any of their cohorts to replace them.

It's pretty obvious that the seed is also as vile and corrupt as the tree. Who are they kidding? It's just a shame that our country's businessmen and leaders are tolerating these shameful acts. Who knows, maybe they're also gaining from keeping their trap shut? One thing's for sure, they won't be able to take their wealth to where they're going.

That's assuming that there really is a corporation. I don't think anybody could be that rich without being dirty. thanks for the response

Money experts will tell us that investing into realty and corporations is a very good business, and one can really be rich if he knows how to analyze the flow of economy.
However, the public is now having a hard to trust Pres GMA and her family. If the same thing happened to former President Aquino's children then I doubt if there will be a problem.
Just my thoughts though.

He's in the hot seat when Winnie Monsod asked him where they he get his wealth and how he can afford his property in the US. He can't explain it and he told that his lawyer made a mistakes. I think he is lying and he uses his position to accumulate wealth and use it for their own interest.

His body languange tells us that he is hiding something. I think he regretted being interviewed by Winnie Monsod. He said his lawyers made the mistake. But I think it's just an excuse. Thanks for the response

Like what you had said, a corporation registered in SEC and it should be made public as to who his supposed partners are. I am doubtful of how he gained so much millions in such a short span of time. Imagine 65 million in 3 years time. Incredible!!! How could he have amassed millions that easily? No wonder the Philippines still is in the the list of corrupt countries.
