..... Sarah Palin had become our Vice President? Do you feel that we could have depended on her? Think about it.The residents of Alaska voted her in as their govenor and she quits on them. She has not shown up for about 4 different places that she was supposed to speak at. I have heard that she is going to run for president in the next election.Do you think she will be dependable? Do you think that she will be voted in? She seems to not be around to follow her commitments.People put down and are still saying that President Bill Clinton was not a good president because he had failed the commitment to his wife.Apparently they have straightened that all out. Hmmmmm, maybe she liked what she saw from her front porch and is going to Russia

Can we depend on Obama? The residents of Illinois voted him in as their senator and he quit on them. He didn't even finish half his term. He has not shown up at many different places where he agreed to speak at, certainly more than 4 places. Funny how the media never talks about that isn't it? Also, you are assuming the blame for these things was on Palin. I doubt you could even name the 4 events, but rather you are regurgitating something another mylot member posted. Bill Clinton's infidelity was not the issue, no matter how much you on the left claim it was. It was about him committing perjury, a CRIME that is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. You further show what kind of person you are by rehashing a Tina Fey line that so many people are too stupid to realize was never said by Sarah Palin.

First,I feel that we can depend on Obama.Second,I did not start the same discussion as someone else on myLot.I did read about how Sarah Palin did not go to 4 places that she was supposed to be at.That is the only way I know about it because I do not keep up with her calender.I have been thinking about how undepenable she is,then when I seen that she had not shown up for some places that she was supposed to be then it kind of added fuel to the fire,so to speak. So I started this discussion.I did not hold that against Clinton.I said that because that's what a lot of people would tell me. Also I could not copy Tina Fey because I don't watch Saturday Night Live or whatever that other show is that she is in.I just knew about her portraying Sarah from that comercial.I always joke about Sarah seeing Russia from her house.Don't accuse me of doing or saying something for a reason till you know why I say it.

"First,I feel that we can depend on Obama" How? He only served less than half his term before quitting and of the time he did serve he spent most of his time campaigning instead of actually doing the job the people elected and paid him to do. "I always joke about Sarah seeing Russia from her house.Don't accuse me of doing or saying something for a reason till you know why I say it." Well then you are always joking about something she never said. That is dishonest. "taskr36 you are skating on thin ice" Oh, so now I can't even point out when someone is perpetuating a lie? I didn't call the poster stupid, but rather referred to the people that believe that lie collectively as being stupid. If the OP doesn't believe the lie, than he's not stupid, just dishonest.

hi dfollin If she became our vice president we would be in serious' trouble if she had to become our president as she is really a rather'ditsy person. She did not even know that Asia was a continent and she showed a woeful lack of diplomacy showing up ' in over expensive clothing during the campaign when so many americans were out of work. She wouldnt win my vote as she is not for the working class and if she was vice president God help us if anything happened to the president. We could not have dep;ended on her, no way.

As apposed to the VP we have who embarrasses the administration every time he opens his mouth? How many times have they let him speak publicly? Each time they have, they have had to play damage control.

The sad thing is that those "embarrassments" are often when he's being the most honest. Honesty is the bane of the Obama administration.

Joe Biden is like the comic relief in this administration. I don't know if he says what he thinks, if he says what he thinks is the right thing to say or if he's just not getting the memos, but I would enjoy these four years a lot more if Joe got to entertain us more often.

Leave Joe alone! He was born and raised not too far from me and he had been my state's "unofficial third Senator" for 36 years. He's honestly the truest example of a "regular Joe" and always has been. He's a lot like most people in that he sometimes does speak before he thinks but there's nothing phony or scripted about him. I would suppose that many would have been disappointed in Mrs. Palin if she had not gone and quit to look after her family. So it is a damned if you do, damned if you do not. So there will be those who would have been angry at Palin because she went into politics. Now they are angry at her because she felt she had neglected her family because of politics so decided to quit. So not matter what, there would have been those who do not like her. Perhaps the reason they are mad is because she was to be vice president of the man who ran against Obama. But it upsets me that when the campaign was on, practically every newsmagazine, and magazine said bad things about her, and yet they praised Mrs. Obama to high heaven. Perhaps they should have been fairer instead of evil one-sidedness.

You know, she should of made sure that her family life was secure before she took on politics.Same thing thou, she was a govenor of Alaska and had to quit because of her family. But,what difference would if she had become the Vice President of the USA.She would still either have to stay in office with these problems or let the people down that she promised that she would serve.

Dfollin, please forgive me for horning in on your discussion here! Suspenseful, I don't think I've ever heard her say she quit to "look after her family". I know I never felt she was neglecting her family by going into politics. There are lots of women who manage to juggle career and family. It's not easy but it can be done and most of these women are terrific mothers as well as successes in whatever career they've chosen. Anyway, she's not going to be staying home with her kids now if she's going to be taking trips to Asia to make speeches, is she? That was not intended to be an attack or even criticism, but just a statement of fact. I know it won't do me any good to say I don't think she was treated any worse by the media than many others have been but no matter how you feel about that you have to admit the potential future First Lady is a bit different from a V.P. candidate. I've thought about this a great deal, especially since she up and quit as governor! I know her "fan club" members here don't want to read this but she's not dependable at all, in fact she's turned out to seem rather ditzy...lol! I don't like stereotypes but, gee, I've been thinking now and then about her past as a beauty queen and she really has turned out to fit the image some have about that group. I think Sarah Palin has always been one of those girls who got pretty much whatever she wanted because of her looks. I guess she really CAN'T be blamed for the way the GOP or the McCain campaign, whoever was responsible for buying all the fancy clothes and arranging her make-up and hair styling sessions during the campaign, because she'd no doubt always accepted that women would be judged on their appearance and that if they looked REALLY good they didn't have to work too much on "other stuff" such as sounding informed and intelligent. Winking during the V.P. debate probably came as naturally to her as saying hello! She quit several colleges before finally getting her degree so I guess her quitting as governor shouldn't have come as such a surprise. Of course I know I'm going to be accused of bashing or attacking poor Sarah AGAIN and I'll be told I need help or an intervention but I know I'm really not alone in my opinion of her. Maybe not HERE but in the general population...lol! To be honest, it's some of her staunchest supporters I worry about. I don't ever recall anyone who has had such passionate defenders to the point where they literally have NEVER done anything wrong in their entire life. Annie

"I'm going to be accused of bashing or attacking poor Sarah AGAIN" It's not as much an accusation as a statement of fact. "I don't ever recall anyone who has had such passionate defenders to the point where they literally have NEVER done anything wrong in their entire life." Have you missed the people who think that there's nothing wrong with starting your career in the living room of a domestic terrorist? Have you not seen the people who fully approve of Obama allowing racists to carry weapons at polling places and threaten voters? Come now Annie, there are far more skeletons in Obama's closet and his minions will say it's all ok.

anniepa, I have not seen hatred from the MSM like this since Rush Limbaugh's early days. NOT hatred from you personally but the media. They hate her more that the devil himself! See also quit because she had over 1 million dollars in legal fees from trying to defend herself. This also interfered with her doing her job as Governor. Obama also has legal fees over a million dollars but he is trying to stop everyone from seeing every record from his birth cert. thru his college and medical records.

Sarah stormed the national political scene, and before it's all over, she'll become a whirlpool, pulling in a lot of people to her way of thinking. She quit because she had little to no choice but to quit. Her first gig since leaving office will be at a conference in Taiwan - making a six figure wage for a day's speech. There are over 1,000 organizations trying to get her on stage or in column. I can't wait for her book to come out. It will be powerful and people will be rushing to wash the grime off their own backs from the truth she delivers. Remember, she's no longer a public servant forced to restrict her moves and her words.

Hmmm,Annie, maybe she had no choice or she would have been fired.I don't know.I am just guessing.I do not live in Alaska, but I think maybe she disappointed her voters. Quiplet,Welcome.I love getting into the politic discussions.I am always honest, but I love to hear other peoples opinions as well.

Welcome to myLot, Quiplet! I hope you don't just decide to hate my guts since I already can tell you're with the majority here who loves Palin and I'm often accused og bashing her. I just like to discuss political issues and personalities and when she's making news I often start a post about it, which is what I love about myLot. Now, to my comment to you...you wrote, "She quit because she had little to no choice but to quit." I'm interested in why you say that, what made you come to that conclusion? Annie

She doesn't sound dependable to me, at all!! I'm a Canadian, so what happens in the USA affects me, but not directly. My husband is an American and decided to abandon ship when politics got too crazy for him. We're wondering if Palin isn't a tool of the conservatives to try and show the rest of us why women should not be in politics, because she is making a laughing stock out of our gender!!
