The ice cream man has it in for me!

September 1, 2009 2:07pm CST
He's trying to ruin me! We just moved to a new house and everyday, TWICE a day he comes along in his van, playing his tune and parks directly outside my house! It's a conspiracy to make me spend money and get plumper. I'm going to have to tether myself to the sofa twice a day!

lol...I didn't even know the ice cream man was a real thing until I moved to a bigger town. I thought it was something they made up for cartoon/show purposes. I felt well quite dumb.

*lol* So you missed out then! On the other hand, it's safer for your wallet. My town seems to be swarming with them! No doubt it'll die down over the next couple of weeks as the kids go back to school, and then I'll start complaining that I miss them!

Yep, it's a guilty pleasure financially too! I know a tub in the freezer is cheaper, but it's not quite the same!

Wow..$4 a cone? Seriously? From the ice cream vans? I remember as a kid buying ice cream from the vans but I don't remember cones..just the packaged ice creams. I cabn't remember how much they were but nothing close to $4.

LOL that would tempt me too!!! Ice cream is one of my weaknesses. I buy the half gallon at our supermarket and have been known to eat 1/2 the container in one day :( I think I could live off ice cream..summer and winter. I have worked it into my diet as part of my splurges and have a tough time giving it up on days I strictly follow a diet.

Sometimes when the mood strikes me I can be found digging through a tub of Ben and Jerry's and begging my Mr. to take it away from me before I finish it all! I feel your pain!

I try not to look at the calories when I go for ice cream. It ruins the pleasure!

I try to limit my ice cream to 120 calories per 1/2 cup..Dreyers has some 'churned' that is terrific. I think Ben & Jerry's is really high in calories, but if you eat less than I do it's all the same lol
