You can buy used clothing for you personal wear. You need to make sure the clothes is good condition with no rips that cannot fixed, stains,or missing buttons. You must always wash the clothing before wearing it.
some used clothing store are charity based and give the money to the charities such a church owned store while other are privately owned and retain the profits for themselves....

I am a vintage/secondhand/"ukay" fan.around 80% of my clothes are "ukay".I make sure my purchases are worth it.no broken zippers,no loose button,no tears.I am proud that I found a Marc Jacobs black skirt in a secondhand store.I am very proud to wear it,that skirt got a lot of compliments.

the jeans and shirts are not that cheap on thrift stores here in the philippines or ukay ukay as we call it. but those clothing for formal occasion and rarely used clothing they are actually cheaper than in the malls , much much cheaper sometimes cheaper than the second hand jeans or shirts. imagine the shirts in thrift or ukay ukay will be 120 pesos or more . but i can find the same price of shirt in malls also and even in sta cruz, manila. there are small stalls there for brand new clothing and very nice looking clothing. so i buy my brand new clothing there, those shirts for about 120 pesos can be about 300 pesos. the same clothes i see in malls but the thing is they are already have a brand when it goes to the malls while in the small stalls in sta cruz there is no brand on the back of the neck of the shirt. but of course there is still good design. i am always get complicated for the shirts that i buy cause they look cute and nice, and they have nice color and made of good quality clothing also. i do saved a lot of money by buying there. there are only two stalls there that sells nice brand new items but mostly in sta cruz there are only ukay ukay stalls only. the quite bigger and nice looking stall and with nice interio are the stall that i buy my clothing. try it and you will love it.

HI JEN,
i love buying clothes, no matter what the brand is, even if it is second hand or "ukay-ukay" thing.. if i find it very nice and sexy i will surely buy it, but still i will make sure if it is ok.. after it i will boil it on a hot water and wash tehm very well to prevent skin diseases.. maybe that's what all people usually do to those used clothes.!!
janebeth.
