it may be true that men like change and surprises. but they also like consistency. an outrageous and drastic change may jolt them into believing that something may be wrong. anyhow, impressing a partner should not take so much effort if both of you are in love. there are many natural things that do not necessarily impress lovers but they do make a positive mark on their relationships. i still like a consistent show and expression of love through small acts of affection.

I have been married for five years now, and my husband and I were together as boyfriend and girlfriend for five years before we got married. So, we've actually been together for a decade already. I find that communication and humor is a big factor in keeping the relationship alive. My husband and I love to talk about a lot of things and we love to laugh together about a lot of things as well. We do not take life too seriously and we always find time to have fun.
