I love camping, in fact my husband and I take our children camping every single chance that we get. Lately however I am starting to feel like camping is more of a chore than a pleasure. I find that it takes so much time to get everyone packed and ready and to load up everything, not to mention trying to clean the house once everythig is ready, just so that we can come home to a clean house. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if we were going for more than one night, which is what we are going to do this weekend since it is a long weekend. I am hoping that will make it easier. I have even started getting everything ready well in advance just to make things run a little smoother. So what about you? do you like camping? Do you take your kids?

Our family enjoys camping, but we are not able to go very often. We did alot more before the kids started school and got involved with extra activities on weekends. This year I've been sick, so no camping. It sounds like what you don't like is the preparation. If you still enjoy the camping experience, you might try being a little more organized.(not that I am) I've heard of people who keep some camping things always packed. Like a box of kitchen stuff or towels that are always ready to go.

hey there. Honestly I absolutely hate camping. Seriously i could think of nothing worse than taking a tent out into the countryside and sleeping in an uncomfortable bag etc.... When I was teaching I had to take a group of teenagers camping and it rained and was windy for the whole week. It was such a bad experience that I hope to never repeat. It really isnt for me. Good luck to those that enjoy being at one with nature and all that but a hotel room for me everytime!!

I love camping.....I know what you mean though by packing up everything the having to unload all of it again....but it's worth it to spend a little time outdoors...and share the experience with those you love....getting back to nature..there's nothing like it!

I love to camp! Until last year...Ive wised up so much. Camping was fun back before I had kids, and even when it was only one or two kids, but now...I have to do laundry just for them to wear thngs into the woods and to wipe worm guts on them. I also clean the house so when I come home my house is clean. There is so much to pack, so much to load, then the sleeping, bathing and restroom conditions all suck. I used to tell myself the experience makes it worth it, but that is me lieing to myself to make myself feel better.
