In Australia where I am from the kids all over the country wear uniforms. It does look good and also its good for security reasons if someone goes missing ata an excursion etc...

I agree - it puts all children on the same level - clothes wise because the rich kid who can buy any clothes they want isn't making fun of the poor kid who has to wear hand me downs of clothes from the goodwill. They can still express themselves by the shoes and accessories they wear, but also by who they are. Just because you are wearing the same thing doesn't mean that you have to act the same way.

Uniforms are great. Part of last year my son went to an elementary school that allowed him to wear just about anything to school. It was such a hassel getting him dressed every day. With the uniform he understand that is what he has to wear and it saves so much money.

uniform can really save us money then no hassle on mornings to decide on what to wear. even for us going to ofc i practically should suggest if we can have an ofc uniform so that there will be also no competition between individuals on what others have & being so in fashion while others are just so plain & simple. saves us money on buying dress & shoes that we can choose on day to day outfit!

Yes, it teaches children to conform and be like everyone else. Children should have all individuality crushed as soon as possible, otherwise they turn into traitors and terrorists.

I think as long as there are options in terms of colors and patterns, so that the clothes look nice on every body type, then it is good. Uniforms do instill a sense of decorum in many children (and adults as well). But then there should be a uniform for the adults (teachers, administrative staff including the principal etc.) as well.

Formerly no jonior college was not forcing for uniforms in my town, but today every college has made it compulsory. This is a good sign and i like students covering their body completly with cloth.

I remember when I was in school and they were talking about making us wear uniforms. We were all so against them making us look like everyone else. There were gang problems then and that part was understandable but also made us (the ones that weren't bangin) mad because they were ruining it for us. We all just wanted to be able to dress as individuals and not have to look like everyone else.

Oh I didn't even answer the question. lol I wouldn't want my child to have to wear them. Granted it would be a lot cheaper but I want my child to be able to be herself and not have to look like everyone else.

I hated wearing my school uniform but I kinda liked it because I didn't have to worry each day on what to wear, and you don't get picked on for what you wear either... I think it makes a school look better with Uniforms as others look trashsy and the students look like they don't care about learning just looking good.... That's my personal feelings now... It's rear to see a school here without uniforms anyway and when you do they stand out.....

i dont think they should have uniforms but they should have enforced dress codes that everyone has to advide by not just some people. plus i think if schools want you to weear uniforms they should supply them because they are not that cheap. also by wearing uniforms i feel that people dont get to express them selves by the way they dress. but in some cases there is a plus side to because then kids wouldnt be teased that there clothing isnt popular because they would all have something alike

one good thing about kids wearing uniforms is that it eliminates discrimination between those children who cuold afford to buy branded clothes and those who can't.

Well here in Australia, wearing a school uniform is a proper thing. All schools require students to wear a uniform. I guess it has some positive effects. It is much easier to spot someone in a crowd of people when they are in uniform, which could possibly make it easier to find people skipping school. Prevents students from wearing offensive clothing. No one is going to get bullied/beaten up because of the clothes they wear.

I sure would want my child to wear school uniforms it cuts down on the price of clothing purchase. You dont have to worry about kids messing up clothing during gym and today kids can be so cruel everyone doesnt have the money to keep up with jones so this cuts down on a little peer pressure. Im glad.

" In my opinion, right up to year 11 students/kids should have to wear school uniform, it stops all the arguments about who has the latest fashions etc. But when you reach college or 6th form it should stop, because by then your old enough to know not to take the pee out of what people wear. Mind you saying that, most of the people at my 6th form were wallys. "

Nop, I wouldn't. I think everybody is free to wear what they like if they don't abuse, of course. Uniforms are too formal and I think there's no need for that in school.

good comfortable and likeable uniforms can be ok , so that students will never say that their uniform is worst , but thy enjoy wearing that also wearing unifrom in schools , makes student habitual ! which is very good for future !
