Live in the midst of majority of moslem people, what's your experience?

Hi mylotter, do you live in the midst of muslim people? As for me, I live in the midst of muslim people. Many of them are friendly to non-moslem, but a few of them do not like other people from non-moslem. They said the people of non-muslim is "haram" (= not the people of their God). What is our experience living in the mids of moslem people? Here I want to know your experiences, no other motivation.
