Skipped period after childbirth

Hi! I gave birth 4 months ago to a beautiful baby girl. My first period after birth was pretty normal, my second one was very heavy, and now my 3rd one is 6 weeks late! I've done a pregnancy test (came back negative) and whenever we've "done something" it's always been using protection. I've felt like I'm going to start for about 3 weeks now, but no blood. I'm not breastfeeding, so that isn't causing it to be late. Am I normal or is something wrong with me??

Better to consult your OB-Gyne for sure diagnosis. In my own opinion about your story it is quite normal. It is natural to be late or delayed for one month or sometimes it skipped. I know what you feel cause you are worried to be pregnant again. Take a good advice for your peace of mind.

Well, it could still be your body adjusting to the change in hormones, sometimes it takes quite a while to adjust after you've had a baby. But, I would definitely call the doctor and schedule an appointment to talk with him about what's been going on with your body. The type of protection that you are using could also make a difference, are you on the pill? Nuva ring? Do you have an IUD? I ask because all of these can also mess with the way that your period goes.
